Michelle Sonya McWha - AUSChegarmos-nos em Fortaleza quinta-feira a noite depois uma viagem de cinco horas da Jericoacoara. Depois nos fizemos nossas check-ins do hotel, a gente foi pra jantar num restaurante chamar Fogo Novo. Isso restaurante era muito lindo é tinha vários tipos de comidas tradicionais do Brasil e do mundo. Achamos-nos isso restaurante era um mais legal da nossa viagem inteira. Depois o restaurante, fomos-nos pra uma feira que tinha coisas a gente queria comprar para nossas famílias. Voltamos-nos para hotel andando a pé nesta noite porque o hotel ficou bem perto das feiras.
Sexta-feira foi-nos para a praia melhor da viajem inteira. Essa praia foi cheia de muitos turistas do mundo inteiro. Lá tudo mundo andou nos cavalos e se quiseram, uma massagem para 40 minutos. A maior do grupo tinha uma massagem, e foi maravilhoso! Depois, tudo mundo recebeu uma trata de cabelo, e ficamos livres para jantar e tomar sol.
Depois a praia, retornamos-nos pra hotel, para tomar banho antes de saímos pra jantar. Essa noite foi-nos para uma pizzaria. A pizza lá foi muita boa, mas eles não tinham pizza doce! O que isso?! Essa noite foi-nos novamente pra as feiras. Foi o ultimo chance para comprar presente que precisamos para nossas famílias.
Sábado de manhã acordamos de novo ás 8 horas para começar um outro dia na praia. Foi um dia lindo sem nuvens no céu. Nessa praia tinha um tema parque chama “Beach Park”...que nome original! Esse parque foi muito legal! Para entrar foi opcional, então apenas 8 intercambistas foram. Eles que ficaram na praia, aproveitaram o sol, talvez demais, algumas ficando vermelho! Essa noite retorna-nos para o mesmo restaurante do primeiro dia, (com sushi incrível!)
O ultimo dia da nossa viajem, tínhamos tempo livre, acordando quando quisemos, andando na praia e ficando no shopping. Algumas pessoas assistiram o filme “Batman”, e outras ficaram tranqüilas, aproveitando a companhia das outras, antes de partindo.
No aeroporto de São Paulo, tem alguma chorando enquanto fomos embora. Nessa viajem fizemos muitas memórias que vão ficar conosco durante a vida, e amizades que vão durar até a gente fica velho e louco. Pra tudo mundo do ônibus de “ASS”, obrigada para experiência e fazendo essa viajem inesquecível!

We arrived in Fortaleza on Thursday night after a 5 hour bus ride from Jericoacoara. After short rests and showers in our hotel we departed for dinner at a local resturant called Fogo Novo (New Fire). This restaurant was one of the best restaurants of the trip. The food ranged from prawns & sushi to beef & chicken and various traditional Brasilian plates.
After the dinner we went to a local market to purchase presents and other things for ourselves and families. The small shops had many traditional souvineers of Fortaleza and Brasil in general. We returned to the hotel by foot as the markets were located a short ten minute walk away.
Friday we travelled to one of the best beaches of the entire trip. We found there were turists there from all over the world. Here all the group were treated to a horse ride, and if we wanted, a 40 minute massage. The majority of the group had massages which were wonderful! Afterwards we recieved hair treatments, and were free to lunch & sunbake.
After the beach we all returned to the hotel, showered and set off for dinner. Dinner was at a pizzaria tonight. The pizza there was pretty good, but they didn’t have sweet pizza for desert! What is this?! This night we went again to the markets as it was our final chance to buy the presents needed for our families.
Saturday morning we woke once again at 8 to begin another day at a beach. It was a beautiful day without a cloud in the sky. On this beach was a theme park called “Beach Park”.... how original! This park was marvellous! To enter was optional, and only 8 of the exchange students decided to go. The other exchangers who remained on the beach enjoyed the sun, perhaps too much, some ending up like beetroots! This night we returned to the buffet restaurant of the first night (with the incredible sushi!).
The last day of our dreamtrip was spent by free time, waking up at whatever time we pleased, walking along the beach & hanging out at the shopping centre. Some saw the movie Batman, others chillaxed, enjoying eachother’s company before we would have to say goodbye.
At São Paulo airport there were some tears as we went our separate ways. On this trip we have made many memories which will stay with us through life, and friendships that will last until we are senile. To everyone aboard the “ASS” bus, thanks for the experience and making this trip unforgettable.
